While we don’t have children or travel with other couples who do, we’ve met plenty of families that love the activities on board the Epic. The Entourage Club is a great gathering space for teens / tweens with video games, consoles, etc. There are also plenty of kid-friendly activities outside of the Entourage like the water slides and water park. The Epic cruise ship has more than enough to keep passengers from getting restless during their vacation. Don’t forget, if you’re really a spa person and expect to make heavy use of the spa, sometimes the Spa Staterooms are less expensive than a balcony cabin plus buying a pass, so definitely compare when booking.
Suite (MC)
The ship offers two separate main pools (with four hot tubs), a kiddy pool area and a pool for suite guests. Norwegian Epic Spa Mini-Suites with a Balcony can accommodate up to three guests. They feature two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed, a sitting area, shower or luxury bath with shower, additional bedding to accommodate one more guest and soothing spa decor.

The crew are engaged and committed to guest satisfaction. Pulse Fitness is one of the largest such facilities at sea. With plenty of machines, free weights and space for classes, Pulse Fitness is an outstanding gym. With both free and fee-based fitness classes, there is something to suit the needs of all guests. With plenty of activities for guests of all ages, Epic is ideal for families.
Deck Key:
There's sizzling Rumba, elegant Viennese waltzes, seductive Tango, and more. These performers know how to heat up the theater and will showcase the classic ballroom styles. Have a pint at O'Sheehans Bar & Grill which is open 24 hours. You can also chow down on plenty of Irish comfort foods, including prime rib and all-you-can-eat ribs. Shaker's Martini Bar is the perfect spot to unwind at night with a martini or two.
Deck layouts
Of course you'll have access to all kinds of great amenities, like 24-hour room service and much more. The list of new (redesigned) facilities includes a photo gallery (deck 5), library (deck 7), card room (deck 7) and the new SplashGolf (kids mini-golf course). The SplashGolf is a retrofit to the ship's existing splash pad (part of the Aqua Park area).
The dress code is decidedly casual with some restrictions in the main dining room and upscale specialty restaurants. For example, tanks tops, flip-flops and worn out clothes are not permitted. Smart casual is the name of the game in these restaurants. Cruisers always have the option of dressing up or not and for some, a cruise is the perfect time to dress-up. The full gamut of appropriate styles will be seen in the more formal dining rooms on the ship.

Passengers exempted from the new (uncommon for the industry) room service fee are only the occupants of “The Haven” suites. Still, as an exception, all passengers can order (for free) their room-service morning coffee and Continental Breakfast. In passenger hallways, the carpet is made of swimming fish! Since the ship is so large, it’s easy to get lost or turned backward, so use the fish to guide you. My only complaint with Bliss on the Epic is that the age restriction hasn’t been enforced in the past 2 voyages I’ve had.
